Linda Lou Rodely

	Linda Lou Rodely, 59, of DuQuoin, passed away at 4:10 a.m. Saturday, October 27, 2001 at the Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
	 Linda was a homemaker.  She had owned Diet Centers in DuQuoin, Sparta, Carbondale, Murphysboro and Marion.  She had also owned stores in Clearfield and State College, Penn.  In 1994, she became sales manager for Alpine Industries.  She had been a scout leader for girl scouts and boy scouts.  She was always active in her children's activities and sporting events.  She was a member of First United Methodist Church of DuQuoin, the church council on ministries and had taught the Homebuilders and Friendly Bible Sunday School Classes.
	She graduated from Clearfield Area High School  and completed her nurses training at Indiana Hospital School of Nursing at Indiana, Penn. in 1963.  She worked one year in Pittsburgh Allegheny General Hospital before entering the Air Force as a nurse (1964 to 1966) coming out as a 1st Lt.  She was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam Conflict.  She was a member of the Registered Nurses Educational League and DuQuoin Garden Club.  She had assisted with the Red Cross blood drives.
	She was born May 18, 1942 at Clearfield, Penn., the daughter of Roy H. Lutz Sr. and Grace (Maines) Lutz.  She married George F. Rodely on August 20, 1966 at Reno, Nev. and he survives.
	She is survived by her husband of DuQuoin; two sons, Bruce Douglas Rodely and wife Michelle of Springfield, Brian Edward Rodely and wife Tammy of DuQuoin; daughter, Denise Lynn Rodely Meadows of Springfield; step-children, George Steven Rodely of Swanwick, Gary Lee Rodely and wife Margarita of Coulterville, Pamela Lynn rodely of Sparta; two grandchildren, Kelsey Ryanne Rodely, Zachary Mason Rodely; seven step-grandchildren and a brother, Roy H. Lutz Jr. and wife Florence of Clearfield, Penn.
	She was preceded in death by her parents.
	Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 30 at the Searby Funeral Home in DuQuoin with Rev. Carl Mesiti officiating.
	Friends called from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Searby Funeral Home in DuQuoin.
	Interment was in Sunset Memorial Park at DuQuoin.
	Military graveside rites were conducted by the DuQuoin VFW Post 513.
	Friends may make memorials to the First United Methodist Church memorial fund or to the  Registered Nurses League Scholarship fund.
